Alex is an A2 accredited certifier and a member of the Association of Australian Certifiers. He brings wide-ranging knowledge in building certifications and over 14 years of experience working in all aspects of the industry, including Local Government Law Enforcement, Development Compliance and Building Certification in different local governments. From residential, commercial and industrial projects and heritage buildings, to all types of residential dwelling houses – you can rely on Alex for advice you can trust.
Alex has worked in Council as a Development Compliance Officer, and has extensive knowledge of how the Local Government processes unauthorised building works and how to make changes to achieve compliance. He is also an experienced Building Surveyor in Local Government, issuing CCs, CDCs, OCs and Building Certificates. He has even been a Council Ranger, enforcing various local government regulations which address pollution and illegal removal of trees. As you can imagine, Alex’s networks are hard to come by, so he’s the person you need to rely on when it comes to getting in touch with all the right people to make sure your project becomes more than just a dream and instead becomes a reality.

- Experience with State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes 2008) and all other State Environmental Planning Policies for the issuing of a CDC.

Her knowledge and passion extend to interior design, real estate, property development and government operations, Lucky for her (and Alex), her skills precisely complement Alex’s credentials. She also holds a Class 1 Real Estate Sale License.
With more than 10 years in the government sector and 11 years in the private sector, Joyce is a highly skilled negotiator and problem solver.
She has a deep knowledge executive decision-making in government, having worked with NSW politicians and numerous State Government departments on major financial decisions.
She led a team of financial specialists reporting on Schools Infrastructure in NSW and helping to manage an annual budget of more than $4 billion in operating and capital works. She has been a Senior Associate at NSW Treasury, providing expert advice and strengthening international connections, to attract global investment to New South Wales, Australia.
Joyce worked closely with Screen NSW in attracting international film productions to NSW, especially from China, within Chinese companies investing multimillion dollars in the State’s economy and creating new jobs.
Joyce prides herself on the human connection and trust to get results. Her success is not just due to her intelligence and persistence.
Now with Beyond Certification, Joyce is putting her interests, skills and experience in business development, client engagement, financial and operations management to best use in managing client needs, while also looking after the technical and logistical sides of this local business.
